Uranus in Gemini Through the Houses

As we prepare for Uranus to enter Gemini today at 8:51 PM EDT and remain there for the next seven years, lets take a look at how this trickster energy will show up by the house Gemini occupies in your chart.

For this purpose, I am analyzing Whole Sign houses instead of the Placidus house system. This means that if you have a Sagittarius ascendant, then Sagittarius is in your first house, Capricorn, your second, and so on through the zodiac, placing Gemini in your 7th house.

1st house (Gemini Ascendant): Uranus here will light you up like a firecracker and throw you through the door - you won’t be able to hide because you’ll be sparkly and magnetic everywhere you go. You’re like Norma Jean when she gets into her Marilyn Monroe character (she was a Gemini) - infused with bright shining light that is irresistibly interesting. You are about to become positively electric, and you will learn how to use this to your advantage, however that looks like for you. The only downside I can see to this is wanting at times to turn it off, which will be impossible, except when Uranus does it’s binary thing and the genii disappears without warning. This may actually cause you some consternation when you are counting on the magic being there and it suddenly disappears. Your best bet is to cultivate the optimum persona that suits you and stick to that and not rely on Uranus’ erratic magic spark, but instead revel in it when it does show up, which will be more often than not.

2nd house (Taurus Ascendant): You are already inventive and creative in your approach to finances and material goods, but this is about to get infused with genius insights and wild innovation. You may find yourself in a paradox in that you realize you have to let go of things in order to gain other things, and while you are naturally good at that anyway with Gemini in your 2nd, and good at going with the flow and adapting to things as they come up, things are going to be happening at light speed in this department which may be somewhat destabilizing, even for nimble you. Remember that everything we experience with our senses in this world is energy. And energy can never die, it just changes forms. Prepare to be amazed at the myriad forms energy can take in your physical world. Use this knowledge accordingly and wisely.

3rd house (Aries Ascendant): Having Gemini in Gemini’s natural house is already magical, but you are about to find yourself on the train to Hogwarts. Have you brought your animal familiar? Are you sorted into a house? Got your wand? Good. Because you are now a full blown witch or warlock. Manifesting and creating what you set your intentions for is about to be off the chain. Your intuition is going to be razor sharp. You will even find yourself able to communicate with people and things (plants, animals, inanimate objects) that you hadn’t been able to before. Sharing what you learn will be imperative and you are encouraged to start your own witch school. All you will have to do is put up a sign and your students will come running.

4th house (Pisces Ascendant): You’re probably already used to moving around a lot - home has never been one place for you. You are always on the move. So it won’t surprise you to learn that you are about to be super charged with change energy for the next seven years. Stability is probably a maligned word for you, as you already crave variety in your home life, even though any changes that occur now are actually meant to elevate you to a more stable and true way of being. These changes will come with sparks of insight that help you to understand your inner world much better. The way in which you live could also undergo an overhaul during this transit, and it may be something you never imagined before.

5th house (Aquarius Ascendant): Mr. or Ms. Fun-loving-party-person - you thought you liked variety before, well now you are entering the variety stratosphere. You may invent a whole new way of speed dating, meeting people, or may even take up polyamory or alternative romance styles that no one has even invented yet. If it is fun, you will be into it! Keep an open mind and be ethical in your communication - your ability to express your truest, most effervescent self is on point during this transit. Art, theater, and play are already your forte: get ready to become a star.

6th house (Capricorn Ascendant): Your daily routines will likely see some shakeups and that - believe it or not - will not only be a good thing, you’ll likely be relieved and realize you needed to make some changes. You already have Gemini here, so you are accustomed to keeping things light and nimble. Uranus takes this to a quantum level and helps you to zoom out and reimagine how you could optimize your time and energy expenditure in ways you hadn’t dreamed of before. This applies to health and pets as well. You could become a quantum healer, animal whisperer, or organizational guru during this transit.

7th house (Sagittarius Ascendant): The way you connect with others is through Gemini energy, a collaborative relating style. With Uranus transiting here, you will be lit up with intellectual and witty banter, a need to share ideas, and likely incessant talking, writing, and thinking. This energy is taking “putting two heads together as one” to another level. Mind meld is more like it, and you are the spark that can ignite others to explore or create new universes with you. If you have a partner who can meet you on the mental level you’re on (or growing toward), be prepared for a rocket boost toward quantum leaps together. And if you are in a partnership where your SO does not meet you intellectually, you will suddenly find you can no longer tolerate the lack in this department as it becomes glaringly clear that you are a sapiosexual. You are likely to experience profound changes in your relationships during this period and may even end one to begin another. You are waking up to the fact that you need intellectual stimulation and collaboration in order to be satisfied interpersonally. Buckle up and sharpen your pencils! There’s going to be a lot to talk about.

8th house (Scorpio Ascendant): There may be changes coming to the house of depth and merging (souls, finances, and DNA). This could indicate a new life coming through you - a literal baby, possibly in surprise fashion, Uranus’ favorite - or it could be something in you is being reborn or transformed. There could be a breakdown before the breakthrough, and turbulence is likely, especially mental or psychological turbulence. It is an excellent time to engage in deep therapy and to excavate and unravel traumatic experiences that have lodged themselves in your psyche. You will grow by leaps and bounds during this transit and the struggle will be worth it. You are being gifted with the knowledge that you are a brilliant diamond encased in carbon. Start chipping away.

9th house (Libra Ascendant): Be prepared to have some wild insights and perceptive downloads come to you directly from the Akashic Records - you have a premium seat on board the starship through the worm hole to the center of the universe with this transit placement. For those who are tuned in, you are a conduit for the universe to transmit profound information to the masses while Uranus visits your Gemini 9th house. Flashes of intuitive and genius insights will be zapping you as if you are in a waking dream. You are primed to reach enlightenment, if you so wish. Your travel, foreign people and experiences, and wisdom seeking sector are getting dialed up to 11. It will get weird - but you’re gonna love it!

10th house (Virgo Ascendant): You may get the infamous Uranus 7-year itch to change your career or the way you perform your career during this transit, and it may be a genius move. You may be suddenly and irresistibly drawn to a job or career that you never dreamed you would be good at, but discover it is the perfect fit against all rationality. You may also find yourself rebelling against authority (if you are not already the boss) and craving autonomy in your workplace. It will become increasingly difficult to march to any beat but to that of your own drum. Fair warning: it could get weird. You may even freak yourself out with your sudden profound infusion of unconventionality, though with Gemini here in your tenth, it is likely that others already see you as a spritely, quirky, and fun-loving communicator who is always on their toes, ready to tackle any challenge. Trust your intuition, as it will be on point.

11th house (Leo Ascendant): This is the windfall house, and Uranus here could definitely spark some kind of sudden infusion of funds - though it could also suddenly take that win away or bring a double edged sword with it, as it in could come with side effects that don’t feel so much like winning (like an inheritance that only arrives after the death of a loved one). Either way, expect groups of people to become much more electric and interesting for you in the next 7 years. You’ll have genius insights into areas of activism, collective bargaining, and the collective good. You could become a torch-bearing crusader for a cause you believe in. This is Uranus’ natural home (11th house is Aquarius’s house, which is co-ruled by Uranus and Saturn), so this is a happy placement for it - it is more benign than malign. Your need for personal freedom, autonomy, unconventional friendships, and personal growth are being super-activated by lightning during this transit.

12th house (Cancer Ascendant): Your dream life is about to get weird and wild, if it isn’t already. You may begin to solve problems, connect with loved ones on the other side, receive messages from beyond, or have prophetic dreams when Uranus transits your Gemini 12th. This has a gloaming quality to it. It’s clarity, but in dream form. For those attuned to this type of thing, this could be a wonderful experience and could bring invigorating insights and amazement. But for those unaccustomed to oneiromancy, this could be unsettling or even frightening and destabilizing. Take intentional care of your mental health during this transit and avoid reaching for substances (drugs and alcohol in particular) to numb or block out these kinds of mind blowing intrusions. It is an excellent time to learn about and lean into a spiritual practice.
